Donate Mums to Seniors
Arie Vrugteveen, Executive Director of Retire-At-Home St. Catharines, along with the organizers of the seniors group and pastor of Central Community Church donating the garden mums on August 31st, 2009.
“Making seniors happy and increasing their enjoyment of life is what we have a passion for.” said Arie. “Seeing the pleasure in everyone’s face, when we brought those flowers in, was heartwarming.”
Several other senior friendly organizations received garden mum donations as well. “We ran out of garden mums to donate long before we ran out of people that would have loved one, we’ll definitely be doing this again next year.”
